Calculords

Calculords is a turn-based strategy game in which you need to be relatively good at math to have a chance at winning the battles, because deploying your units requires that you perform simple calculations (additions, subtractions, and multiplications).

The gameplay in Calculords is very simple. Each unit you can deploy is represented by a collectible card with a specific value on its face. In each turn you get six different numbers from one to nine, which you can combine using different math operations (addition, subtraction, and multiplication again), in order to get the exact value in one of your cards, which enables you to play it.

When your turn is over, the units you have will move and attack the enemy, and then pass on to your opponent's turn. If enemy troops get to your base it's game over, so make sure you keep a good balance between your attack and defense.

Calculords is an excellent game. Somehow, it gets math inside the turn-based strategy genre, and it actually makes it fun. The visuals have charming retro style NES graphics, and lots of different unit cards that you can collect.
